Return

After the the 2 woe hiatus, we've come back to rock. On a Monday woe, we increased the salary of VSet people to 70c as decided by the council and core.

In the duration of the woe, it highly evident that each member's performance was very brilliant. We went castle hopping until the last 15 minutes of woe. We ended up having Repherion in our possession.

Have a Break

Several minutes before the start of Wednesday woe, I decided to cancel the guild's participation to the siege until Saturday due to several reasons. One reason is due to the 4 consecutive woes of not being able to obtain a castle. I didn't find the losses therapeutic to the guild. Another is that I was physically not feeling well for nearly a week so my body wasn't in good condition. The appearance of many high paying guilds, whose source of salary is unknown, was alarming. We could not get decent members to join because of their dirty methods. Another factor which led me to the said decision was that most of the core members have their prelims. There are other reasons why I decided to cancel the woe but those were most of it.

Woe will resume on Monday, July 25, 2001. Hopefully, the guild will get its momentum back and everybody had a good rest by then.

Despite the Struggle

Despite not being able to obtain a castle for the past 4 woes, we have gained and realized so much from the recent happenings. Those woes have been the most fun woes we had. It just suddenly made us realize that strength does not come in numbers but from each member composing our guild. We managed to make our way to the emperium and crush it regardless of the numerous mercenaries standing on our way. The performances last woes were waaaaaaaay better than before. They may flash their gold and lure mercenaries but Empyreal will continue to fight. We have the potential. We just have to learn how to learn how to use  that potential.

Something I posted in FB group:

"It has been a struggle for us to get a castle in the past few woes since the big guilds and the mercenaries guilds have been on our tail. I would like to extend my appreciation to all of you for staying and for the continued support to the guild. We have been having a hard time recruiting because other guilds have been displaying their golds, luring mercenaries to join them. But I am proud to say that despite the average sal we offer to you guys, which come from castle drops and serve as our help to you, we could manage to break into strong defenses. As the core and the council are trying to look for ways to solve this dilemma, we would like to ask for your continued support and loyalty to the guild. Despite being busy in real life, we are still looking for ways to provide you with quality woe and a guild bonding. Until we can pass through these hard times, we are still one in this."

     Keep rocking!

P.S. Sorry if it took long for me to post again since I've been tired from school and duties lately. :P

Rampage Mode

Several high paying mercenary guilds have popped up together with their questionable wealth and lured gunmen to fight for them.

Despite being numerically incapacitated, the Empyreans were ready to fight hand in hand with each other. We valiantly drew our swords and charged in to battle. As we faced a swarm of mercenaries, a mist of unknown power shrouded each and everyone of us. It was like we were all high and buffed up for battle. Everybody seemed to be in rampage mode. The extensive army of the enemies didn't justify their strength. The performance was just too superb.

Mythology made numerous attempts against us at Neuschwanstein but despite all of the assaults, we held our ground. with 4 minutes remaining, their GM ecall at pre emp causing a swarm of them to enter the emp room. We didn't manage to hold them off, making them get possession of the castle. We launched a counter attack with 1 minute remaining. We managed to break their defense and I managed to ecall at the emp room with 30 seconds left. Everybody charged to the emperium. Vhon was hitting the emp with 10 seconds remaining but unfortunately, his armor got stripped. I rushed my dual breaker lk to the emperium but it was too late. We were seconds away in regaining possession of the castle but sadly we weren't successful.

Although we were few, we proved that strength does not come in numbers. It's the bond each member shares that gives us the strength to face the adversities. All in all, woe was a blast. Hopefully, the Empyreans can sustain the performance in the future woes.

Disconnection Notice

I luckily was able to join on this Saturday's woe since our instructor wasn't around. I decided to let either Jovs or Jp act as GM since I would like to try out my LK. I let them roll the dice and whoever got the lower number would be the GM. It was then later decided that Jovs would be the GM.

Woe then progressed but in the middle of it, Jovs went MIA. He then informed us that he had net problems. He kept on disconnecting since he had a wifi connection. It was hard for us not having the ecall but we still pushed through. Unluckily, we didn't manage to get a castle by the end of woe.

Despite the disconnections, Jovs has done his part well. It was just not our day.

Bagz Gives a Second Castle for Emp

After 2 hours of woe last July 6, we succeeded in defending Neuschwanstein in the last few minutes of woe. On the last minute, Bagz dominated Eeyolbriggar. Woe ended with both castles in our grasp.

Haters Gonna Hate

Everybody has their own share of haters.

In the middle of last Monday's woe, while we were defending Neuschwanstein, an unusual message was broadcast. It came from a guy named Maelk. The message attempted to provoke well known guilds around Rune-Midgard. Thus, Kings went head on on us and we eventually lost.

We aimed for Repherion in the last minutes of woe and we took possession over it.

Bagz Acts as GM and Breaker

It's another Saturday woe and as usual, my schedule is keeping me from woeing so Bagz took over. With only 17 members online, he managed to get Repherion even though Exile attempted to occupy the castle in the last minute. The guild had no breaker online so he acted as a GM and a breaker at the same time. I remember doing that before when we were just starting. Anyway, putting that aside, he did a splendid job acting in my stead.

Arunafeltz and Schwartzvald Guild Dungeon Access

*This contains a guide for Arunafeltz and Schwartzvald guild dungeon access*

My classes were suspended and I got the chance to join woe v.2. I got Mardol with 1 minute remaining. Someone from Coup Plotters Revenge showed up with 10 seconds left but I successfully kept him away from the emperium with the remaining time using force lightning.

Access to the Arunafeltz Guild Dungeon is allowed to all Empyreans as long as the castle is our possession.

Here are the steps on how to access the dungeon.

For more comprehensive guides on the War of Emperium: Second Edition, here are the links:

      How to Get Castle Drops

     1. Go inside your possessed castle using the flag.

     2. Look for the series of flags usually located near the emperium. Look for the highest numbered flag (usually LF-08 or LF-10) and choose Go to convenience facility.

     3. Look for the Mysterious Sunflower. Then choose Hold the stem.

     4. You will then be warped to the dungeon. Enjoy farming! :)

A GTB Away

The suspension of recruitment continues and we pushed through with woe with only around 20 valor Empyreans set to fight along with one another. We went castle hopping against Team Armada, Chaos of Legion, Hellion, Fishpond, Epitome, etc.

Here are some flicks from the woe:

The highlight of this woe was the last 5 min. We were defending Neuschwanstein against Fishpond and Epitome. We were able to keep the emperium alive but the unending waves of attackers didn't stop since we can't set up our first line of defense so I decided to give the castle to either one of the guilds with the plan of getting it back with 2 minutes remaining. After Fishpond took possession, we rushed back to reclaim the castle. As we reached the emp room, the heat of battle was so intense. There was blood spillage wherever you set your eyes. Balls of fire, violent hails, and gusts of wind caused massive destruction in the stronghold.

Swords craved and thirsted for flesh and blood. Arrows flew in all directions, killing anyone its path. The champions unleashed the tremendous strength which they have been honing, crushing anyone who opposes them.

As I was casting ecall, Vhon and Clutch were hitting the emperium but unfortunately a priest of the opposing guild cast aspersio on both of them while they were on frenzy mode, making their attacks miss on the emperium. They got mobbed and eventually died. Going back to the scene where I was casting EC, a professor kept on bugging me, interrupting the EC. He was following me wherever I go, making it impossible for me to successfully cast ecall even under the protection of Tom's devotion. I decided to go at pre emp and cast EC which I successfully did. One minute was left. Everybody charged to the emperium. Vhon and Clutch rushed to the emperium without hesitation and went under frenzy. But fate was ill. History repeated itself. The priest aspersioed them rendering their blows against the emperium useless. I was trying to strip the priest but luck wasn't on my side. Everybody else seem to have neglected the priest. With only 10 seconds remaining, all hope was gone. Both breakers were still under frenzy yet aspersioed too. Woe ended with us not able to reclaim Neusch.

Despite not being victorious, the thrill and excitement of this woe is unforgettable.

Gloomy Monday

On a gloomy Monday woe, only 11 Empyreans engaged in the battlefield since I didn't recruit anybody at the moment. Most were probably resting since they have classes or jobs on the day. Despite the lack of manpower, we still managed to pull things out. Sadly, we were too few to go against the arsenal of the enemies, ending the woe with no castle at hand.

Topple Bagz

A 5 vs 5 event sponsored by Tom was scheduled 8 pm last June 25 but due to net problems he encountered, it was cancelled. To compensate for the unexpected cancellation of the event, I decided to host an event. The objective of the game was simple, kill Bagz, get his skull, and barter it to me for 50c.

     List of winners.
     Round 1 - Jude
     Round 2 - Stacy
     Round 3 - Stacy
     Round 4 - Jude

On the last round, Top Rank was able to topple down Bagz, who was slightly aided by Jovs to add some difficulty. Unfortunately, from an unknown origin, Somnus, god of sleep, seemed to have acted upon Top, making him fall into deep slumber. Everybody stood still and stared at each other as Bagz's skull fell on the fround. After several seconds of spacing out, they rushed to get the skull. Jude was the lucky one who got the skull first.

Here's a video of the event. The audio was removed by youtube due to copyright issues. Imma make another one with a different song. Sorry about that.

Jp Bags Two Castles on 1st Exposure

Since classes are hindering me from attending Saturday woes, one of the core members has to take my place. On June 25's woe, I decided to let Jp act as GM in my behalf. This also served as his first exposure. Despite being a neophyte in being a GM, he managed to bag 2 Prontera castles, namely, Kriemhild and Gondul with 35 members online.

The core members are the ones who will take over in my absence. Each of them should be equipped with experience and skills as a GM.

Quantity Over Quality

June 22 - Motivation and excitement was barely oozing from me several hours prior to woe. A mist of negativity shrouded me as woe drew near. Nonetheless, I set up a pub in Prontera to recruit a few guys since we were quite short in members. Pessimistic as I was, the recruitment wasn't fruitful at all. I only got a handful of 2 or 3 players. Woe time arrived and the number just hit up to 23.

We set our defense in our castle from the previous woe which was Skoegul. As expected, our ever loving antagonist was after our tail again. They had been maximizing their mercenary for hire campaign before woe. Fending them off was no biggie at first. Because of this, they gathered every single gunman they had, preparing for an all out assault . They were approximately around 40 or 50. On the other side of the room, around 8 or 9 were defending the portal, 3 supporters on the other side, 1 gunner guarding the emperium, and 1 trapper. It was time for another bloody clash between us. As they entered, I remembered the Persian assault against the Spartans in the movie 300. Despite their immense number, one by one they fell to their knees. We brought down around half or more than half of them. Casualties on our side were inevitable. Amidst the chaos, their GM, under the protection of a paladin, cast ecall, recalling all his mercenaries by his side thirsting for blood and gold. It was too much burden for us to carry.

We went back to Fadhgridh and went against DT. We had a good match against them.

While defending Fad, we were laso up against BP. This was the highlight of this woe. We managed to defend the castle but after several waves, we weren't able to stop them. After a few minutes, I entered Fad not knowing it was BP defending it. I only realized it when I was at the pre emp room trying to dodge their arrows, blades, and spells. I decided to give it a shot. I successfully ecalled and everybody rushed to the emperium. Then, we were able to take possession of the castle.

We also faced Generals at Neuschwanstein. We had a good fight with them.

With the woe about to end, we settled at Neusch. Fishpond's eyes were set at Neusch with around 5 minutes left. We kept them off. In the last minute, they did a final assault causing everyone's adrenaline to rise. The battle was pretty intense since either sides want to have a castle. In the end, we were able to stop them as the clock struck 12. This was another highlight of the woe.

The friendly matches against the mentioned guilds were surely intense and fun.

     Quantity over quality.
